Belvoir Group raises almost £2000 for Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Trust
Members of the Belvoir Group’s Central Office team, based on London Road, Grantham, put their best foot forward recently to successfully complete an epic charity walk. The team raised almost £2000 for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
The team, which consisted of 21 people, including senior directors from different brands within the Group, as well as apprentices and office staff, set off from the village of Croxton Kerrial to hike through the picturesque landscape of the Vale of Belvoir. The team completed 11.5, 16 or 22 miles, with the final seven finishing after a determined battle through overgrown ferns and nettles! The walk raised almost £2000 for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Trust, which includes a pledge of £150 from AgentsGiving.
Speaking of the team’s success, the Belvoir Group CEO Dorian Gonsalves said: “This was a fantastic achievement by everyone concerned. I am very proud of the team, who are delighted to have raised so much money, which will help contribute towards the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Trust being able to continue its incredible lifesaving work. The charity receives no direct government funding, and I understand that £8m a year is required to keep the service operational, so all donations are very welcome.
“In addition to fundraising for charities in 2023, the Belvoir Group, which has its Central Office in Grantham, as well as a Belvoir office and a Newton Fallowell office on the High Street, has a new project entitled 365 Days of Giving. This charity campaign is very different to others, as it recognises that times are tough for people, and money is tight. For this reason, we are encouraging franchisees and team members from across the country to consider supporting local charities and community activities by volunteering their time.
“The concept of donating time is proving very successful, and so far, the Belvoir Group, which consists of six national property management brands, have logged a total of 266 days. This includes Belvoir’s Business Development Manager Joe Ellis completing the London Marathon on behalf of the Make-A-Wish foundation – a charity that grants wishes for critically ill children across the UK.
“Other brands in the Belvoir Group have also been very active this summer. Events have included a charity football match, sky dives, abseiling, bake sales, fun runs and helping food banks. Community spirit is at the heart of every local community, and the Belvoir Group is delighted to be able to help. I know there are lots of other fun activities planned, and I’m very confident that we will smash our 365 Days of Giving target.”
