Two of the property industry’s best known (and sartorially magnificent) figures have joined forces to launch an exciting new project. Simon Whale and Julian O’Dell hatched a plan during the first lockdown to help Kerfuffle member agents to benefit from high calibre training to raise standards in all key areas of their businesses.
Julian has over 35 years’ estate agency experience and set up a training company back in 2002. He has provided training and consultancy support to countless businesses and his client list reads like a “Who’s Who” of estate agency.
Forced into long term lockdown due to his wife’s ongoing battle with cancer, Julian is now going to provide high impact online training via Kerfuffle.
“I had had a number of opportunities and approaches during lockdown” Julian says. “However, I needed to feel 100% comfortable with any new alliance. Having known Simon for many years and being a fan of the Kerfuffle concept, teaming up with him was a no-brainer. Kerfuffle have also been a main sponsor of our annual Action Against Cancer fundraiser festival Catfest, which was another reason for wanting to work together with them.”
Julian has created bitesized training resources for agents to access digitally through Kerfuffle. Four key categories include managing teams to success, winning quality instructions on optimum terms, excellence in selling and Julian’s acclaimed 3 day “Stars of Tomorrow” induction programme for new starters which has been redesigned as a series of bite size modules to provide the perfect launch to a junior negotiator’s career. Julian will also be available as a resource to company owners looking for ideas and suggestions on how to run and grow their business, a rôle he performed as a Partner of award winning Thomas Morris Sales & Lettings for 15 years.
Simon says “Kerfuffle’s ethos is to work with the best industry suppliers to ensure our member agents are provided with the best quality products and services. We are delighted to team up with Julian and excited that our members will benefit hugely from training delivered by somebody who has truly walked the walk and has an unrivalled track record in both estate agency and training.”
“Julian and I are were both in agreement that given this second lockdown period and with the furlough scheme being extended, it was more important than ever to give agents a Netflix-style training resource to be used at the agents’ own convenience to mirror the demands of the modern world.
