The kids are back to school, and social media is no longer awash with photos of them standing by doors in their uniforms, looking annoyed at their parents’ insistence on capturing the moment.
The transition from different year groups at school can cause equal amounts of anxiety and excitement. And that’s just the parents I’m talking about.
But when the step is up to ‘big school’, it must be handled well if that change is to be a smooth and successful one.
A friend told me about a secondary school that opened three days early so that the new batch of younger children got to know their way around without being intimidated by the presence of teenage ‘giants’ in older year groups.
I think this is a great idea. Ensuring a smooth start to a new and significant part of life is so important and raises the chances of success down the line.
Introducing new franchisees to Ewemove is something we take seriously. And we have applied a lot of thought and effort to it.
And recently we’ve been very busy welcoming in our new ‘students.’ This month has seen 15 new franchisees and associates take part in our welcome training. A record intake.
We run a three-week induction course covering all the aspects of setting up and running a successful EweMove franchise.
It’s a crucial period as it’s when we outline clearly what’s expected from anyone operating under our brand and how they can follow the system that elevates their chances of success.
But the ‘welcome’ process starts before a person is awarded a franchise.
A crucial part of our recruitment and selection process is introducing a person applying to a franchisee in a nearby area. This buddying up helps people decide whether we are right for them and vice versa.
Once a person has been accepted, they receive the initial training and ongoing support from our team at the Sheep Pen.
They also have access to Flockbook, where our ‘graduates’ share what’s working for them, ask for advice or enjoy a bit of work-related banter.
Here’s to our new franchisees, and good luck to everyone who has gone back to school in the past couple of weeks.
Thanks for reading.
