How Complylex and The Dispute Service are improving compliance standards together

Complylex and The Dispute Service are proud to be working in partnership to help landlords and letting agents

Property law can be confusing, even for property professionals. To help, Complylex has partnered with The Dispute Service to help property professionals navigate complex industry legislation and raise standards in the Private Rented Sector (PRS).

Complylex is a platform that has been designed by a team of property profressionals to provide concise, accessible information on property law presented in a way that is easy to understand. Their mission is to demystify legislation and give their fellow professionals a simple and affordable way to comply with the legal requirements governing their sectors in England and Wales.

The platform can be utilised on demand much like a resource or guide. Notifications can also be set-up to alert subscribers of legal updates by email, to keep users up to date on the latest regulations which can be crucial to remaining compliant on all legislation changes.

Executive Chairman of Complylex, Michael Stoop, commented “I am delighted that Complylex is working in partnership with The Dispute Service. I think our two businesses complement each other perfectly by promoting the ethos of good practice within the estate/letting agency and landlord arena. Complylex now has an added layer to its existing Sales, Lettings and Covid-19 content, with a Landlord Only bundle subscription which clearly sets out the obligations for landlords.”

The working plans will bring benefits and discounts to new and existing members of both The Dispute Service and Complylex:

1) All landlords that sign up to Complylex will receive a 20% discount on TDS Academy courses.*

2) Agent members of TDS that sign-up to Complylex using the referral code ‘TDS’ will be entitled to five free TDS Academy sessions per branch, per year. Agent members will also need to provide their TDS membership number to qualify for the free sessions.

3) Agents who are not yet members of TDS can also benefit from a 20% discount on five TDS Academy sessions per branch, per annum, if they use the referral code ‘TDS’ when signing up to Complylex.

*Delegates of the TDS Academy sessions receive a certificate which can be used to gain CPD points.

Steve Harriott, CEO of The Dispute Service commented “The Dispute Service has always been committed to raising standards in the PRS. There is a huge amount of legislation and regulation around lettings that can cause confusion or prove difficult to find. It is essential that agents and landlords stay well-informed on legal changes to avoid compliance issues and penalties. Up to now, that has not always been easy,”

Steve added “Complylex is an essential tool for the property professional in that it provides all the relevant legislation and regulations in one place, in a language everyone can understand.”
