How did you come to work for One Utility Bill? Whilst a student at university, I got a part-time summer job working for One Utility Bill’s student brand - Fused. After graduating during the summer, I began working as a Sales Development Representative for Notify and it’s been onwards and upwards since then!

What are the top 3 challenges you believe your business solves for agents? Include a brief summary of how.
- Saves time on boring admin registering tenants with utility suppliers when they move into a property
- Introduces an additional revenue stream with our two income generating services
- Offers a risk-free alternative to bills inclusive, 36% of tenants are seeking a bills-inclusive option when moving in their new home
Which industry suppliers do you admire most? Octopus Energy - They’re the market leader in energy, despite an incredibly difficult year in the industry, customer service is still the core of their business.
Which estate agencies do you admire most? Any agent who can spare 5 minutes out of their hectic day to have a catch up.
What is the most valuable lesson you have learnt from working with estate agents so far? Agents put their tenants (customers) at the forefront of what they do, if it doesn’t benefit the tenant, then it won’t work for them!

Business Development Manager
What is your career background? - Originally I come from a lettings background. Having spent 6 years working in lettings. Initially I started as a Lettings Negotiator, working up towards branch manager, before I started a new challenge with One Utility Bill.
How did you come to work for One Utility Bill? - I was initially approached by a Recruiter, who asked if I would be interested in the role.
What's your proudest achievement? Working my way from Lettings Negotiator to Branch Manager in my previous role is something I am really proud of. This gave me great experience and knowledge of the lettings industry and something that has given me a great platform now to work with Letting agents, to provide them with a beneficial service for their businesses.
What are the top 3 challenges you believe your business solves for agents? Include a brief summary of how.
Saves them time - Our Notify and Student Referrals services both save Lettings Agents huge amounts of time when it comes to dealing with Utilities. This gives our agents the ability to focus on what they do best, letting and managing property.
Removes Risk - Our Student Referrals services gives the agents we work with the ability to offer a bills inclusive service to their tenants, whilst completely removing any risk previously involved when offering bills inclusive.
Extra Revenue - Both of our services to letting agents (Notify and Student Referrals) offer agents the opportunity to earn fantastic commissions.
Which industry suppliers do you admire most? Fixflo - mainly from my time working in letting. Fixflo was a massive help to us when it came to managing repairs from our tenants. Fixflo make it easy for both letting agents and Tenants alike to log and manage repairs.
Which estate agencies do you admire most? Tassi Lettings (Nottingham) and Mansons (Newcastle) - During my time working with both Tassi Lettings and Mansons they have both shown a willingness to look at new services that could benefit their business and their tenants. Both are always open to new ideas and exploring new possibilities when it comes to managing Utilities.
What is the most valuable lesson you have learnt from working with estate agents so far? - If an agent is looking at working with a 3rd party service provider, they have to make sure it is the right thing for them to do, for their tenants. If the service doesn’t offer something positive to their tenants and won’t positively contribute to their relationships with their tenants, more often than not it isn’t right for them.
