Meet the people Behind the Brand - One Utility Bill - Part 2

Kaysie

Kaysie Hall-Stonebanks

Partnerships Support Team Leader

What is your career background?

I have worked at OUB for 7 years now  in various  roles covering B2B, B2C and support, Previous to this I worked for a large Telecoms company handling customer retentions and debt.

How did you come to work for One Utility Bill?

I started for OUB within their first year of business and found the culture and business more appealing then other job offerings.

What's your proudest achievement: I am most proud of helping build and nurture our B2B products and seeing how they have grown over the last 7 years, assisting many agents in their day-to-day.

What are the top 3 challenges you believe your business solves for agents? Include a brief summary of how:

  • Billing issues! Bills in the current climate are scary enough without there being any issues. We assist agents with identifying if the bill has been generated correctly and accurately, and offer support and guidance with how to resolve any billing problems as quickly as possible.
  • Bills optional rent. In recent years typical Bills included as proven to be a big concern for agents due to ever changes energy markets and price increases. We now offer a service for agents where tenants can rent their property, including bills, without the liability falling on the Agent/Landlord. The property is more appealing for tenants with bills optional meaning the Agent/Landlord can let the property quick and the tenant has all bill  included through Fused Bill. Peace of mind for everyone!
  • Call Waiting times! We reduce the need for Agents to speak with suppliers, whether that is in regards to setting up accounts for tenants or resolving void period billing. We handle all informs and billing queries and have direct contact with the suppliers to ensure updates are sent to them as soon as we receive notification from the Agent.

Which industry suppliers do you admire most?

Octopus Energy! They have handled all our queries in the quickest time possible, even though there as mass delays. They ensure we are kept as up-to-date as possible with any possible energy changes and try to work with us instead of against us to get the best results for our customers.

Which estate agencies do you admire most?

Coapt! The way they have adapted their "bills optional" offering to students for the year ahead has been amazing. They always ensure their tenants are aware of how the changes will impact them and put their tenants first.

What is the most valuable lesson you have learnt from working with estate agents so far?

All agents are individual! No two agencies operate or work in the same way and that is something we have taken on board. We've learned this over the years as a business and tried to adapt and work our services around this.
