Bernadette Sheridan is PayProp UK’s Head of Business Development. Having previously worked as a letting agent for over 20 years, she knows the time and effort it takes to manually reconcile rental payments. At PayProp she works tirelessly to help letting agents master payments and grow using PayProp’s powerful payment automation.
James Grew started off in the property market in 2009 at the age of 21. He began purchasing houses to renovate and since then has built up a successful property portfolio in the North East of England. James found that managing his growing property portfolio was becoming more challenging with multiple spreadsheets and inefficient processes; he decided to search for a solution. After implementing Xero and other financial systems for his own property business, other companies contacted him to help systemise and streamline their systems.
James’ created the company Automated Accounting in 2019, to help other businesses put in simple and efficient financial systems.
Who are PayProp?
PayProp is an automated payment and reconciliation platform for residential letting agents that is both easier to use and more powerful than banking platforms or traditional software solutions. Since 2015 PayProp UK has processed over £1.7bn of rental payments for agencies including Hunters, Century 21, and RE/MAX.

Who are Automated Accounting?
The principal aim of Automated Accounting is to enable a business to maximise the efficiency of their accounting and reconciliation processes. The result will provide the business with realtime, useful and easily accessible financial information. Automated Accounting's main clients include property investors, estate and lettings agents, and landlords. The company looks at financial systems from a different perspective using the best technology to create efficient, automated solutions getting the best out of every business.
A client was using PayProp at the time, but there was no integration in place with any accounting software. Therefore Automated Accounting created a piece of software to import the data from PayProp into Xero seamlessly. This software has now been made available to all PayProp clients.
