100 Agents, 3 Mountains, A Celebration and £72,000!
On Thursday 25th May, 100 agents and suppliers climend '3 mountains' in one of the most beautiful places in the Peak District, covering 11 miles to raise funds for the charity Do It For Dom.
Organised by Suzanna Mavity, Sales Director of Acaboom, the challenge was climbing Mam Tor, The Great Ridge and Win Hall Walk.
Dom Subianni was unable to attend this year in person but he was represented by his brother Rob who flew over from Bahrain and his Uncle Billy.
100 of the great and the good of the industry descended onto Castleton and met for a drink or two the night before an early 7.30am start for the safety briefing.
On one of the hottest days of the year we set off with everyone looking forward to the refreshing pub stop in 6 hours time! The walk itself was demanding, a challenge that defeated a handful at every stage. Certainly not the stroll we were led to believe! After the well-deserved stop for a late lunch and hydration at the pub everyone went back to their accommodation to freshen up for the evening celebration at Dunscar Farm.
Going large this this year we hired a 3-hat tipi for a big celebration for the love of our friend Dom. With full bar, dancing, and an Agents verses Suppliers ‘Family Fortunes’ hosted by David Mintz. Dining alfresco in form of a hearty BBQ, Louise Moss took to the stage to sing a song specially written for the occasion followed by a tribute to Tina Turner.
Generously supported by Sean Newman and Verona Frankish the auction was a huge success with prizes including a Marbella holiday, apartment in Ireland, Harrods & Fortnum & Mason hampers as well as a balloon experience and an overnight stay with dinner at the Crazy Bear in Beaconsfield. Disclaimers were read out before bidding started on a day with Simon Whale! Russell Quirk obviously ignored this and paid handsomely for the privilege! Special mentions to the top Just Giving fundraisers, Rob Subianni, Spenser Lawrence, Kristjan Byfield & Matt Baldock.
The coverage we have received has been phenomenal and you can’t have failed to notice the many hundreds of pictures and posts appearing across Facebook and LinkedIn!
With further support for the raffle, auction and sponsorship from: Moneypenny Jon Cooke, Nurtur Group Chris Watkin Chris Hope, Dawsons Gareth Samples, TPFG Dave Seed, Qube Residential Oliver Gleeve, Loop Heather Staff, Street Nigel Barnett, Globel 4 Aldo Sotgiu, Arun Estates Andy Parker, SDL Trevor Youens, Ben Quiney, Focal Agent Vicky & Amy (Location Location) Katie Darlow And special mentions to: Simon Whale, Kerfuffle, Verona Frankish Sean Newman.
DIFD23 was a success beyond what we imagined just proving again we are not a industry group of colleagues, we are a family.

The Do It For Dom charity was founded late last year with the aim of raising funds and focus on helping people within our industry suffering from or believed to be suffering from mental and physical health conditions, providing support to them and their families, assisting with and funding home adaptations. We will also continue to support the charity Huntington’s Disease Association.
Huntington’s Disease has no cure and has had a huge impact on Dom's life. Funds raised from this event will help Dom with specialist support & to help fund further research.
